Morocco Steps Travel is a local tour operator based in Morocco. We arrange private, customisable journeys for couples, families, and small groups who want their trip to be built around them — not around a group departure schedule.
Our story
Morocco Steps Travel was founded by people who know this country the way you learn a country only by driving its roads for years — the short cut through the Draa Valley that saves two hours, the guesthouse in Midelt that feels like someone's home, the exact time of day the dunes at Merzouga turn copper.
That knowledge is the product. The vehicles and logistics are the packaging. What we actually sell is the combination of local expertise and genuine flexibility — an itinerary that starts from what you want, not from what we had already planned.
We work with a small, consistent team of drivers and local hosts whose approach matches ours: reliable, honest, and interested in the travellers they accompany.

Licensed, experienced, and knowledgeable about the routes, the regions and the history. Drives a comfortable, air-conditioned 4×4. Speaks English. Will not rush you past a good sunset.
The riad owners, camp managers, and local guides who host you along the route. Each is selected for quality, honesty and genuine hospitality — not for the commission they pay.
How it works, practically
Air-conditioned 4×4 SUVs or minivans depending on group size. Well-maintained, clean, with USB charging. The vehicle stays with your group for the entire journey — no transfers between drivers.
We match lodging to your comfort level. Standard options are clean, well-located guesthouses. Comfort and premium choices are boutique riads and character kasbahs. Luxury options are available on request. Desert nights are in traditional-style camps or fixed lodges, depending on preference.
Planning in English, French and Arabic. Most drivers speak English; please confirm your language requirement when requesting a quote.
WhatsApp is our primary channel — fast, reliable, and works throughout Morocco. We also reply by email. During your trip, your driver is reachable directly and we monitor our main line for any issues that need escalation.
